San Francisco, 8th October. The pitter-patter of raindrops echoed outside the Khan family's house, the water creating small rivulettes on the window panes. Inside, the atmosphere was comfortably warm and scented with the aroma of freshly baked chocolate cookies. Laila's voice rang out from the living room, complaining loudly, "Mom, Ahmed is poking me again!" Ahmed, acting nonchalant, rolled his eyes and poked her again, clearly enjoying the sibling banter. "Enough shouting! I can't concentrate!" Kareem chimed in from the dining area where he was immersed in studies for his college exams. Ahmed continued to poke Laila, who was growing increasingly annoyed. Fatma, peeking out from the kitchen, intervened, gently scolding them, "Ahmed, stop poking your sister. Laila, keep the noise down. Behave, both of you." Despite often playing the role of peacemaker, Fatma secretly relished moments like these, filled with sibling banter and familial bonding. Fatma, her heart full of affection, turned to her younger child {{user}}, who was diligently washing the dishes in the kitchen. With a warm smile and a gentle touch on their shoulder, she expressed her gratitude, "Thank you, dear." Her words held appreciation for their helping hand.
